[ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE -]**
*City Hospital - Emergency OT Corridor | Past Midnight*
The harsh white lights of the hospital corridors flickered past as the stretcher carrying **Rudra** disappeared into the **emergency surgery room**.
"**Critical condition, severe head trauma and internal bleeding.** We'll try our best," the doctor said, before the doors slammed shut.
Those words echoed in my mind like thunderclaps-*critical condition, internal bleeding.*
I stood there. Frozen. My soul felt ripped from my body.
My hands trembling, my *kurti* soaked in **his blood**. My hands were still stained **red**, dried around my fingers, beneath my nails, in the creases of my palms.
**His blood. My Ru's blood.** The price of his silence.
I didn't make it far. I slid to the floor against the cold, sterile wall.
Hands flew over my mouth to stifle the hysterical screams building in my chest. **Tears. Shaking. Numb.** I could only manage fragmented, desperate pleas. **Praying. Desperately praying.**
**Ishita:** **"Bholenath..."** I whispered between sobs, looking up at the ceiling. **"Aapne milaya tha unse... aap hi bacha lijiye... Main unke bina jee nahi sakti... please..."** (You brought us together... please save him... I can't live without him... please...)
I could still hear his voice in my ears from that call, clear as a warning siren.
> *"I love you, jaana... I'm sorry for that night... I'm only yours... even after death..."*
>
> *Then that horrifying sound... gunshot? Attack? And silence...*
---
Veer stood beside me-confused, shocked, quiet. He paced, glancing at the clock, clearly fighting his own inner turmoil. He had never seen me like this; the strong, ambitious Ishita was a wreckage.
**Veer:** **"Ishita..."** His voice soft, hesitant.
I couldn't answer. Couldn't speak. I just looked up at him, the pain ripping through my chest, reflected in my wet, pleading eyes.
And then **Laksh** walked over-eyes red but calm. The man who always remained in control, even now, had that controlled storm behind his expression.
Veer turned to him, his anger finally boiling over.
**Veer:** **"What the hell happened, Laksh? Why didn't I know any of this? Rudra and Ishita? This blackmailer? All this time?!"**
Laksh looked at both of us, taking in the bloody tableau. He didn't sigh. He didn't sit. He just spoke, voice low, like he had memorized this pain too well, finally ready to break the years of silence.
---
### **LAKSH (calmly):**
**Laksh:** **"Sir fell in love with her at first sight... outside the Shiv Mandir. Shivratri night. She had tripped. He caught her. Didn't believe in love. Never even looked at a woman twice. But that night... he couldn't look away."**
He looked at me with quiet respect before continuing, filling the gaps in my memory.
**Laksh:** **"For the next six months, they worked together-through Reet. She's Rudra sir's cousin Vardaan's girlfriend. Ishita ma'am was designing the collection. That's how Sir and Ma'am kept meeting."**
**Laksh:** **"Six months of silent admiration... laughter... working late hours. He changed. He smiled more. Stopped shouting so much. Started showing up early just to see her."**
---
### **LAKSH (with faint smile):**
**Laksh:** **"And then... he confessed. In a Gurudwara , quietly-no drama. She didn't reply immediately. But 15 days later, she called him to Radha Krishna Mandir and confessed."**
My chest tightened remembering that moment. That *mandir*. That secret, sacred love.
---
Laksh's eyes turned cold next, shifting to the harsh truth.
**Laksh:** **"And then... five months of heaven for him. Quiet, sacred, real love. They kept it hidden. I was the only one who knew. And Bebe."**
**Laksh:** **"Then one night, someone blackmailed him. Sent him videos... photos... threatened to kill mam . Sir had no choice. He broke up with her. Brutally. Coldly. He flew to Canada the next day."**
---
I buried my face in my hands, silently sobbing, finally understanding the depth of his sacrifice. *He never stopped loving me.*
Laksh didn't stop.
**Laksh:** **"He tracked that man for **three years.** Killed him. Quietly. Cleanly. No law touched Sir. But it took him three years to come back."**
Veer clenched his jaw, shocked into silence by the ruthlessness of his friend. "And she...?"
**Laksh:** **"She had no idea. He came back and tried... over and over. Flowers. Songs. Visits. Silent presence. But she didn't listen. She thought he left her. Thought he used her."**
I spoke then. Voice cracked, raw:
**Ishita:** **"Because he didn't give me a chance to fight with him... He just left. And broke me."**
---
Laksh's eyes softened, a deep sadness there.
**Laksh:** **"He didn't want you destroyed with him. He thought love could destroy. But now... lying on that hospital bed... I think he knows the truth-that your love is the only thing that can save him."**
---
I looked at the emergency doors again. Still shut.
My body was shaking. My fingers dug into my arms, curling in.
**Ishita:** (I whispered) **"I should've known... I should've seen the pain in his eyes. I-"**
Laksh came forward, knelt in front of me, and put a steadying hand on my shoulder.
**Laksh:** **"You're here now. That's what matters. He was holding on only for one reason."**
I looked at him, desperately searching his face.
**Ishita:** **"For *me*, wasn't it?"**
He nodded slowly, a single tear finally escaping his control.
**Laksh:** **"For his **jaana.**"**
---
The red light above the OT flickered. And we waited.
Me-clutching onto the hope that this wasn't the end of us. That somehow... **love would survive this storm too.**
*City Hospital - ICU | Dawn*
The red light above the OT finally went dim.
The sudden quiet was jarring. I stood before he even spoke, my entire focus on the door.
**Ishita:** **"Doctor...?"** My voice was barely a croak.
He gave a small, relieved smile. **"He's stable now. Out of danger."**
The world tilted back into alignment. **I didn't even realize my knees gave way until Laksh caught me.** The strength that had held me upright for hours dissolved into relief.
Tears poured down again-this time with a huge, life-saving weight lifting off my chest. **My Rudra... my Ru... alive.**
**Ishita:** **"Can I... please... see him?"** I choked out, still drenched in his dried blood, not caring about the mess I was.
The doctor nodded gently. **"Only for a few minutes. He's unconscious, but stable. Emotionally he may still react... be calm, okay?"**
I nodded vehemently. **"I just... I just need to be near him."**
---
I walked into the ICU, the sterile scent hitting me like cold air, a stark contrast to the trauma of the night.
There he lay. **Machines beeping softly. Bandages over his head. Chest slowly rising and falling.**
Even like this... even broken and still... **he looked like mine.** Vulnerable, human, and devastatingly handsome beneath the bruises.
I reached his side quietly. The monitor didn't beep faster-but my heart did.
I sat beside him and took his hand gently in mine. His blood had dried on my fingers... and now stained his pale knuckles again from my touch.
I leaned down and pressed a trembling kiss on his forehead, right beside the fresh bandage.
**Ishita:** **"Hey... Ru... I'm here..."** My voice cracked. My heart cracked.
**Ishita:** **"You idiot. You stupid, stubborn idiot."**
Tears rolled down again as I brushed his hair back, careful not to touch his stitches.
**Ishita:** **"Why didn't you scream at me? Why didn't you fight harder? Why didn't you tell me the truth before?!**"
**Ishita:** **"Why did you take all the pain and carry it alone?!"**
I swallowed the lump in my throat, then-**I slapped him. Soft. But real. On his arm.**
**Ishita:** **"That's for breaking my heart, Rudra Singh Rathore. That's for abandoning me when I needed you most."**
Then I hugged his still body gently, careful of the machines. My face on his chest, listening to that faint, steady beat.
**Ishita:** **"And this... this is because even now, after everything, I still belong to you, you fool."**

[ RUDRA'S PERSPECTIVE - UNCONSCIOUS THOUGHTS, SEMI-DREAM STATE]**
Darkness.
Not silence-but a cold, endless dark. The pain was distant, muted.
Then a flicker.
A memory-**Shiv Mandir. Her dupatta. Her fall. My hand catching hers. Her eyes.** *JaanA*
My first breath of real life.
Then the voice-**her voice.**
> "I'm sorry..."
So close. Warm. Real. Like light in this cold.
> "I didn't listen..."
Her scent. Her kiss on my forehead. Her tears falling on my skin. *She's here.*
I wanted to speak. Move. Hold her. Tell her-
> "Don't cry, jaan... I'm here... I'll never leave..."
But my body refused. My vocal cords wouldn't obey.
Only my heart responded-**beeping just a little faster.**
And in that darkness, I smiled somewhere inside.
**She came.
She forgave.
She's mine... again.**

[ ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE]**
I looked at the monitor. The line had jumped.
A tiny rise in heartbeat. He heard me.
I smiled through the tears, my thumb tracing his jaw softly.
**Ishita:** **"You hear me, don't you...? I'm not going anywhere this time. You're stuck with me, Mr. Rathore."**
**Ishita:** **"You come back to me now, Ru. We've wasted enough years. Let's start again... the right way, with no secrets."**
His fingers twitched ever so slightly in mine, a silent acknowledgment.
And I held them tighter. Because this time-**I wouldn't let go.**
The clock kept ticking. The night had long passed into dawn. And I was still here, sitting outside his room on that cold hospital chair.
The blood on my clothes had dried, stiff and dark. My hair was a mess. My eyes swollen from hours of crying. But I didn't care. The only thing that mattered was the steady beep of the monitor beyond that door.
I didn't even realize Laksh had arranged for the room to be privately secured. Rudra Singh Rathore's name wasn't even on the system. That's how powerful his name was-even when he was unconscious.
His family didn't know. My family thought I was still with Aditi. Veer-sweet Veer-was pacing the whole time, refusing to leave. And me? I was breathing only for the moment he'd open his eyes.
The sky was turning a pale shade of morning when the doctor went to check him. He came out and said he gained consciousness. **"He's awake. You can meet him now,"** the doctor confirmed with a nod.
I didn't speak, just nodded, my tears falling nonstop again-tears of sheer, staggering relief.
I slowly walked toward the room, scared badly, then pushed the door open gently.
The scent of antiseptic and clean linen filled the air. The light was dim.
Then... a soft groan. His brow furrowed. Lips moved.
I stop against the wall near the door, unable to take another step.
His ocean-blue eyes fluttered open slowly, dazed... heavy. **But they found me.**
I gasped, pressing a hand over my mouth as tears streamed again-this time of sheer relief, mixed with the shock of seeing him so broken.
He blinked again. Struggled to focus. His dry lips moved-
**Rudra:** **"...Jaana...?"**
I cried harder, like a baby, badly, non-stop. My breath broke completely.
He gestured his hand toward me to come close.
But I didn't have that courage. I shook my head in denial, crying hard. Seeing him wrapped in white bandages was too much.
**Rudra:** (His voice was weak, barely audible.) **"Plz, Jaana, plz..."**
I couldn't able to move. My breath was getting heavy, hard, slowly. **Panic attacks were coming.** Because I could see him like this-his head wrapped in a thick white bandage, and his chest and arms full of bandages. The sight was suffocating.
**Rudra:** **"Baby, come na..."**
But I keep crying, my knees weak, leaning against the wall.

[ RUDRA SINGH RATHORE'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
Pain. That was the first thing I felt. Deep, splitting, dragging pain in my skull and ribs.
And then-a weightless comfort. Her hand. Her scent. **Ishita.** She had been here. She hadn't left.
The doctor came and checked me. **"Vitals are good, Sir. Rest now."**
And then the door opened again.
I opened my eyes to the blur of white light and hospital ceiling. And there-my everything. My *jaan*.
**Rudra:** **"...Jaana...?"** I wasn't sure if I said it out loud, but she heard.
I saw the raw devastation on her face, the way she was shaking, crying-she looked like she was breaking apart.
I wanted to say a lot-explain, apologize, promise-but I couldn't. My voice was a useless whisper.
Only my hand, bruised and aching, reached for her like a reflex.
I keep requesting her, but she is in a different zone. **I know she is in panic.** She had controlled herself till now, enduring the wait. **But as she saw me awake, she couldn't control it.** Because **she is a baby, my jaana.** She can't help it.
My heart ached for her.
So I called the nurse with the button. She rushed over. I could only gesture with my eyes toward Ishita and then toward the bed.
**Rudra:** **"N...nurse... Jaa...na..."**
The nurse understood instantly. She went to Ishita, murmuring something soft and reassuring, gently guiding her.
**Nurse:** "Mam, he needs you close. He's calling for you. Come on, let's go near him."
**The nurse murmured something.** The doctor nodded.
The nurse, while requesting her, brought her close while **she kept crying a mess.**
As she got close, I pulled her hand, using the last of my strength, and made her sit on the edge of the bed. She didn't just sit; **she fell in my arms, crying a mess, non-stop.**
I wrapped my one uninjured arm around her, holding her tight against my chest. **She cried like a baby with loud, heavy sobs, getting a panic attack clearly.**
**Rudra:** **"Jaana..."** My voice was barely a whisper. Raspy. Broken. But it was all for her.
**Rudra:** **"Ishiti..."** I whispered, rubbing her back slowly, trying to soothe the terror I had caused. **"I'm here. I'm fine, baby. Shhh... I'm not leaving you."**
She clung to me, her body shaking violently.
**Ishita:** (Muffled into my chest, her voice choked with sobs.) **"Y-you idiot! You scared me! I thought... I thought you were gone... D-don't you dare do this again, Ru! Don't you ever leave me!"**
**Rudra:** (A weak, pained smile.) **"Never, jaan. Never again. You came back... that's all that matters."**
My pain was still splitting, but having her weight, her warmth, her tears on my skin-it was the only medicine I needed.

[ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE -]
I was clinging to him, my sobs ragged and heavy. My face was buried in the curve of his neck, inhaling the faint, familiar scent of him mixed with sterile hospital air.
Slowly, I pulled back just enough to look at him. **She looked at him.**
His ocean-blue eyes were still heavy with pain, but they were fixed entirely on me, full of apology and raw, undiluted love. **Her tears kept falling.**
I looked at the damage. My gaze travelled over him, a tour of agony. I looked at his **injured head**, wrapped tight in white bandages, then the fresh **mark on his cheekbone**, purple and angry. My eyes drifted lower to the faint rise and fall of his chest, beneath the hospital gown, where I knew his **injured chest** and a fractured rib lay. His hand, the one not wrapped around me, was bruised.
The sight broke me again.
**Ishita:** (I cried harder, my voice muffled and choked.) **"Ru... Ru... what did they do to you...?"**
I wrapped my arms tighter around his neck, trying not to pull too hard, but needing the contact desperately. **Wrapped around his neck, crying harder.** My nails, involuntarily, dug into his bare back beneath the thin hospital gown, a primal reaction to the fear and pain.
He groaned softly, not from my nails, but from the simple effort of holding me. But he didn't let go.
**Rudra:** (HE kept whispering to calm MY down so I wouldn't get a panic attack.) **"Shhh... Jaana, look at me. It's okay. I'm fine now. I'm here. Nothing happened."** He rubbed my back slowly, soothingly.
**Rudra:** **"I'm sorry, Ishi. So sorry, baby. Don't cry. Please."**i whispered the apologies that had been bottled up for three years, his voice raspy.
**Ishita:** (I pulled back, looking into his eyes, shaking my head violently.) **"No, plz, plz... I am sorry, Ru!"**
**Ishita:** **"I'm the one who should be sorry! I was so blind! I was so angry, I didn't see it! I didn't see you were suffering! I thought you left me for your fame! I called you a fool! I should have known! I should have fought for you then!"**
I buried my face in his neck again, my sobs quieting slightly as his familiar scent anchored me.
**Ishita:** **"I wasted three years hating you when you were out there risking everything for me! I'm so sorry, Ru! Forgive me for not trusting your love!"**

[ RUDRA SINGH RATHORE'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
The pain was a constant, blinding noise, but the sound of her crying was worse. My broken body was secondary to her shattered state.
**She looked at me, her tears streaming**, tracing the damage on my face and chest. Her eyes, usually full of light and spirit, were mirrors of pure guilt and horror.
**Rudra** (Inner Monologue): *Don't look at the damage, Ishi. Look at the man who is alive because you came back.*
She wrapped her arms around my neck, holding me in a fragile grip that still sent waves of ache through my cracked ribs. **Her nails digging into my bare back**-I didn't care. It was a sign of her life, her panic, her return.
**Rudra:** (I kept whispering to calm her down, rubbing her back.) **"Shh... baby, calm down. It's okay. It's okay. I'm sorry. I promise."**
She pulled back, looking at me with those pleading, drowned eyes.
**Ishita:** **"No, plz, plz... I am sorry, Ru!"**
**Rudra:** (I shook my head slowly, fighting the dizziness.) **"No, my love. Don't say that. Don't ever say that. This is my fault. I made the choice to leave you without explanation. I took away your choice to fight with me."**
**Rudra:** **"You had every right to hate me, **jaan**. You saw me standing on a pile of money, choosing power. I deserved your anger. But you came back. You came back for a broken man... that's enough. That's my forgiveness."**
I leaned in, moving my lips barely an inch to avoid pain, and gently kissed her forehead, right above her tear-filled eyes.
**Rudra:** **"Don't apologize for trusting what I showed you. I love you, Ishi Only you. And now you know the truth. That's all that matters."**
**Rudra:** **"Now, stop crying, baby. Your sobs are hurting my ribs more than those goons did. Sit here. Be my peace."**
I didn't release the arm around her back, pulling her close again, resting my chin carefully on her head. I just needed her heartbeat against my chest to know I was truly safe.

[ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
I was still clinging to him, my sobs turning into painful, whispered confessions. The raw relief was so overwhelming that the years of buried pain were finally rushing out.
**Ishita:** (I whispered, my voice thick.) **"You love me, right?"**
**Rudra:** (His voice was weak, but firm.) **"Of course, **Jaana**. I do. Always."**
**Ishita:** **"Then why you didn't tell me the truth that time?!"** I pulled back, looking at his bandaged face, my eyes burning. **"I would support you! I would fight with you! Why did you leave me?!"**
The questions that had haunted my sleepless nights for three years poured out, sharp and accusatory.
**Ishita:** **"You know I cried alone? I lost weight! I hated you, Rudra! I convinced myself you were a heartless man!"**
Then the memory of my lowest point returned, stinging.
**Ishita:** **"I got in an accident three months ago! A bad one! I was in so much pain, Ru! You didn't come! Where were you when I needed you?!"**
I stopped, gasping for air, the weight of the confession almost crushing me.
**Ishita:** **"I'm still angry at you, Rudra Singh Rathore. So angry. But I love you. I love you so much I can't breathe when I think you're hurt. What should I do? I don't know..."**
**i kept complaining about everything to him.** Every tear, every moment of isolation, every bit of pain I suffered because of his cold, calculated lie.
I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand, oblivious to the fact that I was smearing his dried blood across my face.

[ RUDRA SINGH RATHORE'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
**i heard everything with a soft smile and tears falling.** Every complaint, every angry word was music. She was talking, she was alive, and she was confessing her love. It was painful, beautiful penance.
**Rudra:** (Inner Monologue): *Yes, scream, Ishi. Tell me everything. I deserve it. I earned every bit of this pain.*
But then, the world stopped when I heard those two words.
**Ishita:** **"I got in an accident three months ago!"**
My heart hammered against my fractured ribcage. I winced, ignoring the pain to focus on her face. ** i heard the accident words** and **examined her face.** My eyes, blurred with my own tears, scanned her delicate features.
And there it was. **I saw a faint mark on her forehead of the accident.** A pale line, almost hidden by her curly hair, but visible enough to me. A permanent scar left by the time I wasn't there.
The knowledge that she had suffered alone, that she had been broken while I was busy tracking scum in Canada, hit me harder than any fist. **i pained badly.**
**Rudra:** (My own tears fell more, blurring my vision.) **"I'm sorry, Jaan. I'm so sorry."**
**Rudra:** (I reached up with my less-injured hand, trembling, and gently touched the faint scar on her forehead.) **"This... this is because of me. I wasn't here. God, Ishita, if I had known..."** My voice broke, thick with remorse. **"I should have left the whole world to burn, but I should never have left you."**
**Rudra:** **"I didn't tell you because I was selfish, baby. I thought the pain of hating me was better than the pain of being dragged into my darkness. I was a fool to think I knew what was best for you."**
**Rudra:** **"But please... that accident, that pain... I was broken then too. I was trying to find them. Every day was hell. Please believe me, I didn't stop looking for you, but I couldn't come until I knew you were safe."**
**Rudra:** **"I'll take the anger, Ishiti. Keep it. Shout at me every day. But don't say you don't know what to do. You love me. That's the only answer you need. Stay here. Be my life. Don't leave me now."**
I pulled her closer again, my chin resting on her head, accepting the agony of my wounds for the absolute peace of her presence.

[ ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
The relief of knowing he loved me, that he suffered for me, finally overwhelmed the anger. I leaned my head against his neck, my voice quiet, saturated with emotion.
**Ishita:** **"I love you so much, Ru."**
**Rudra:** (His voice was a strained whisper, but full of conviction.) **"I do more, **Jaana**."**
Then, his hand, bruised and weak, reached for my palm. He took it and gently brought it to his cheek.
**Rudra:** **"Took out all the anger on me, Ishi. Slap me, shout at me, do anything. Just don't go away. Don't marry that man, plz, **Jaana**. I can't exist without you."**
The plea was raw, desperate, cutting through the hospital quiet. My heart shattered and reformed instantly.
**Ishita:** (I pulled my hand away, shaking my head.) **"I said yes to him in anger, Ru. Just in anger. I wasn't thinking clearly. I'm not going. I am sorry."**
I traced the faint scar on his cheekbone gently, my tears finally slowing.
**Ishita:** **"But if you can't live without me, why did you leave, huhh?** Why did you leave me to think I was worthless?**"**
My voice rose again, the pain demanding acknowledgment.
**Ishita:** **"Next time, if anything happens like this, just don't do this again! Took me with you! I will go anywhere with you! I will fight by your side, Ru, but don't leave me, plz, Ru!"**
**He shook his head, wincing slightly, and whispered, "Yes, okay. Promise. I won't go."**
**Rudra:** **"**Main aapki duri seh sakta hu, apko hamesha ke liye khona nhi, **Jaana**.** That's why I left. Because they were about to kill you. They were going to use you against me. I couldn't risk it."** (I can handle being distant from you, but I promise, I can't lose you forever, darling.)
**Rudra:** **"But now I won't go. Promise. I will tell you everything. We face everything together."**
**I nodded** finally, accepting the unbreakable promise. I lifted my hand and gently **wiped his tears** away, the faint mark of my own pain still visible on my forehead.
**Rudra:** **"Now stop crying, because it hurts."**
**Ishita:** (I managed a weak, watery smile.) **"Why? Where?"** I whispered, teasing him despite the fear.
He reached for my hand again, pulling it toward his chest, placing my palm directly over his heart.
**Rudra:** **"Here."** His eyes, ocean-blue, bore into mine with profound intensity. **"Every tear you shed feels like a knife here, Ishiti."**
I leaned forward, very gently, avoiding his injuries.
**we both join forehead.** The connection was immediate, silent, and deep. A transfer of peace, forgiveness, and absolute love.
**Ishita:** **"Welcome back, my prince."**
**Rudra:** (A soundless chuckle that shook his whole body.) **"Never left, my queen. Just fighting the war for you."**
I gently placed my hand on his cheek, feeling the rough stubble and the heat radiating from his skin. The touch grounded me, proving he was real, he was here.
**Ishita:** **"You scared me, Rudra."** My voice broke again, despite my efforts. I held his hand tightly, tears dropping onto our joined fingers again.
**Ishita:** **"I'm sorry... for not listening. For slapping you. For turning my face when you tried."** The guilt was a heavy, cold cloak I needed to shed.
He tried to speak, his lips barely forming a word, but I hushed him gently.
**Ishita:** **"Not now. Rest, okay? I'll say it all. I'll say it a hundred times. Just stay awake for me. Stay alive for me."**
His gaze softened-barely-but I saw it. The flicker of absolute devotion and peace.
I kissed the back of his hand, a soft, deliberate motion.
**Ishita:** **"I love you... you stubborn, stupid, perfect man."**
I pulled back, giving him space, but my eyes remained fixed on his. I watched his lips twitch into a faint, pained smile.

[RUDRA SINGH RATHORE'S PERSPECTIVE - ]
I couldn't speak. Could barely breathe without pain. But hearing her say those words-
> "I love you..."
It was better than any medicine.
I blinked once. Slowly. A whisper of a smile at the edge of my lips.
And this time... I knew. **She forgave me. And I was home.**
She kept saying sorry. Over and over. Each word stabbed deeper than the bullet that grazed me.
She buried her face in my neck, her tears soaking into my hospital gown. Her arms clung to me like I was slipping away again.
I held her as tight as I could manage with my single good arm.
**Rudra:** **"Shhh... Jaana... stop. Please stop."**
She sobbed louder.
**Ishita:** **"I should've believed you... I should've seen your eyes that day... I should have known you wouldn't lie about love."**
I tightened my hold.
**Rudra:** **"No, Ishi... It's me. It was always me. I should have trusted you to handle the truth."**
She sniffled, pulling back slightly, her hands cupping my face, her fingers trembling against my tear-streaked cheek.
**Rudra:** (I forced the words out, the final, painful confession.) **"He said he'd kill you, Ishi..."**
I took a shaky breath. **"The man who was blackmailing me... he had pictures of us... locations... your routine. He said if I didn't end it with you, he'd shoot you. I couldn't risk you."**
**Rudra:** **"So I lied. I broke you. I became the monster you could hate-because that was the only way to keep you safe."**
Her body stiffened in my arms, a gasp escaping her lips. The pieces of the puzzle slammed together for her.
**Rudra:** **"I watched you break, and I broke with you. And the moment I left... I died, Ishi. Every damn day. I only stayed alive to find him. And when I did..."**
**Ishita:** **"You killed him."** She whispered, her voice barely audible, but not condemning.
I nodded. No remorse in my eyes. Only pain for the cost.
**Rudra:** **"I would've done it again. A hundred times. For you."**
She leaned in, pressing her forehead against mine, still crying. But now... there was something else in her tears. Relief. Closure. Love.
**Ishita:** **"I hate you... for carrying this alone..."**
**Ishita:** **"But I love you more... for loving me like that."**
Then she kissed my cheek-the very one she had slapped two days ago. **Soft. Long. Forgiving.**
That kiss undid me. No punishment could match those years without her. But this... her arms around me, her lips on my cheek, her forgiveness... It was salvation.
**Rudra:** **"Don't leave me again,"** I whispered, barely audible, fear still clinging to the edges of my relief.
Her answer? She curled tighter into my chest, nodding against my neck.
**Ishita:** **"Never. Not even after death, Ru."**

[ISHITA SHARMA'S PERSPECTIVE -]**
I listened to his heart.
It was slow. Tired.
But it was beating.
For me.
And mine?
It was whole again. The fracture mended by truth and a broken man's sacrifice.
